Minors

A patient may be seen in our office without a parent present if they wish to discuss anything sexually related including, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, birth control, etc… The doctor and patient will decide if it is appropriate to notify the parent, but it is not required. We encourage patients to communicate with parents in these situations. Normally, a patient must have a guardian 18 or older to accompany them. Children 16 and older may be seen by themselves.
