parenting techniques and many other topics. I highly
recommend this website for good answers to several types
of questions. Try it out.

This is the official web site for the American Academy
of Pediatrics. It is an excellent site for general
topics and opportunities to link to other web sites.
There is an opportunity to order excellent publications
sponsored by the academy.

This is an excellent web site with authoritative
information on several medical topics from diseases to
other health conditions. It is written in an
alphabetized fashion and you can look up most common
topics that would be helpful to your health.

This web site offers lists of diseases with explanations
of the diseases as well as treatment options. It is
designed for the parent and the disease explanations can
be downloaded. This is an excellent web site for disease
information.

The New York State Health Department sponsors this web
site. It is written in a question and answer format for
lay persons. There are several diseases that are listed
alphabetically that can be referenced. It is a good
reference for infectious diseases.
National
Immunization Program
This is the website for the National Immunization
Program that is sponsored by the Centers for Disease
Control. It contains the latest information regarding
the recommended vaccines, vaccine safety, and the
importance of immunizations. This information is the
latest and most accurate "official"
information about the various vaccines for children.
National
Vaccine Program
This website is also sponsored by the Centers for
Disease Control, but emphasizes more the issues of
safety of the vaccines. It answers questions about
vaccines causing other conditions such as chronic
fatigue syndrome, arthritis, lupus and autism. I
recommend this site for answers to questions about
vaccine safety.
Parents
of Kids With Infectious Disease

University School of Hygiene and Public Health.. The
Institute for Vaccine Safety provides access to
objective and accurate information about vaccine issues
that are raised in the media. It is an accurate and
unbiased reference to questions regarding vaccine
safety.
